Remember: NOW is always the time to take an action.
Seriously. Right now. Yup, this very second.
How do I know that?
Look for yourself: have you ever experienced a moment that wasn't "now"? It seems like maybe a rhetorical question, but it's actually really profound when you get that you have not.
When we think about the "good old days" of the past or the "someday maybe dreams" of the future, we think about life in the abstract, in broad strokes, and here's the rub: THAT is NOT the way that life is actually lived.
Life is lived moment by moment by moment of NOW. There is nothing else. There's only now. And that's all that there will ever be.
So, if there's something that you are waiting to do until some unknown future when you will feel "ready" to take action, take action now.
If there's something you've been wanting to say, but it's never felt like quite the right time, say it now.
There's no fantastical future when life is experienced in any different way. It always feels just like this. Just now.
So even if you don't know exactly what it will take, precisely what's required, or everything that there is to do, take action. When you are playing a big game, play! Have fun, and when a goal aligns with your commitments, throw your hat over the fence, and then know yourself as someone who can figure out a way to go get it!
And if you find yourself thinking "next time" will work better for your schedule, I hate to be the one to break it to you, but you actually never have any time but right NOW. And things always seem like kind of a bad idea right now, and they have a way of seeming optimistically better sometime in the future.
The fiction that we use to procrastinate our lives away is that someday we will experience life differently.
And the reality is that we will not. It will always occur like it does right now.
So, take action. There is no other time. Take action NOW.
